Welcome to Voices in Our Heads

Voices in Our Heads is about politics, electronic cigarettes and food. And monster movies. Especially flesh-eating Zombie movies. I’ve found the only difference between a zombie and a Republican is diet and hygiene. Here at Voices in Our Heads topics range from:

The Past

Present

and into The Future

But Beware … Only glimpse into the future … if you dare!

You might not like what you see.

But, truth be told, there isn’t a whole helluva lot to like in The Past or The Present either.

Maybe that’s just me. Optimists say the glass is half full, pessimists say the glass is half empty, I tend to think the glass is half empty and we’re all gonna die. In fact, I’m amazed there’s even a fuckin’ glass.

This all began way back in 2004 during the Bush/Cheney Regime. I started listening to Air America to help mitigate my political depression. That’s how I discovered Mike Malloy. For the First Time, I heard somebody address Current Events with the appropriate level of fear and loathing. Everybody else stayed within the bounds of politeness. I always wondered why. Those were not “polite” times. The proper response to those strange and terrible times was to scream. The United States had just been lied into a war, lied into the Ultimate War Crime, and the only way to respond to this horror was to tell the goddamned truth about what was going on. Loudly. Mike was fired from Air America and I found him again when he later resurfaced on Nova M Radio.

Here is a sample of his honest commentary:

All the death in Iraq was not caused by bin Laden. The death in Iraq was caused by George W. Bush. Five thousand Americans, tens of thousands permanently damaged and shot to pieces, a million Iraqis dead – that wasn’t bin Laden. That was George Bush. So when does Seal Unit 6, or whatever it’s called, drop in on George Bush? Bush was responsible for a lot more death, innocent death, than bin Laden.

If you don’t like that … you won’t like anything you’ll find within Voices in Our Heads.

In 2006, I did something I had never done before. I wrote an email and sent it to a radio talk show. The Mike Malloy Show. I don’t know how many of them I sent before Mike read one on the show. I didn’t write them to get them read on air … I wrote them to keep my head from exploding. Mike started calling them “Moments with Bob” and since then I’ve written a couple hundred of them.

Are they all here? No. My computer crashed a couple of times over the last eleven years. Things were lost. “But Bob,” I hear you say, “Didn’t you make backups?” Sure I did. Onto a server that crashed a couple of times over the last eleven years. Things were lost. Everything that survived is now here.

We had just moved to Canada when I was contacted by TvNewsLIES.org and then OpEdNews.com about publishing the “Moments with Bob” on their sites. I want to thank Reg from TVNL and Sheila from OpEd for the opportunity to rant to their readers.

If I thought things were dark before … they’re waaaaaaay worse now. Fucko the Clown is president of The United States and Psychopathic Republicans control everything. Psychopathic Republicans? Am I being redundant here? Yes. Look it up. It’s in the dictionary.

I don’t think The United States can come back from this. I don’t know where it’s going … but I don’t think the U.S. is coming back anytime soon. Or ever. All I can say now is Bon Voyage and good luck with all that.

  1. The Canadian person on shore waving farewell at the boat returning to American waters knows the danger involved — and, for the first time ever, wishes the Earth was truly flat, so the ship and its passengers could mercifully plunge over the edge — like tipping into Niagra Falls — and thereby end its lives quickly rather than encounter the hopelessness and unendurable, extended pain of submersion into the hot, infected headwaters of Americanus Hydrophobia-Foamus Insanus… Farewell, U.S.S. Rabid Alibi, and all who sail her. Thanks for the nice postcards all these years!

  2. Whenever an artist — a person who practices any of the various creative arts — has their artistic drive thwarted by a repressive society, that society is dooming itself to an expanding downward spiral of all pervasive rot. Those who perceive that rot and are compelled to inject their art, as an antidote, back into that societal rot — in order to spark universal awareness — are indeed the true patrons of our freedoms.

Two such artists are Mike Malloy and Bob Alexander — who both use the power of the word to bring into tight focus the exponentially rotting damage which is rapidly embracing us all. Focus indeed, for what you focus on expands!

  3. Thanks Bob,
You and Mike voice a lot of what many of us are feeling, and as there is no outlet on the mainstream media. We need folks like you. Don’t forget Tara Devlin and her site, RDTDaily.com.
Thanks again, and have a Happy Festivus for the rest of us!
